Preamble for BNCA Conference 2024:

The built environment plays a pivotal role in shaping our societies. It includes the physical spaces where we live, work, and play, that significantly influence our quality of life, economic growth, and environmental sustainability. The unprecedented challenges facing the built environment today - rapid urbanization, climate change, resource scarcity, and technological disruption - demand state-of-the-art solutions and transformative thinking.

The challenges that a city faces with the rising rate of expansion is to meet with demanding sustainable infrastructure to tolerate growth with minimum environmental damage with need of resilient designs that can resist extreme climate conditions. Nevertheless, there are widespread opportunities like technological advancements in AI, Parametricism that revolutionize approach of design, construct and manage built environments to create smarter, sustainable, inclusive user-centric spaces.

This conference, 3rd in the series, aims at contemplating the quality of built environments reflected through theory, practice and pedagogy. It establishes a growing need for interdisciplinary fields to collaborate with architecture to address current challenges of built environment at hand. The conference invites research papers from research scholars, academicians, professionals and students to address the complex issues of built environment.
